The Budapest Centre of the International Prevention of Genocide and Mass Atrocities attended the Eye on Earth Summit 2015 hosted in Abu Dhabi from the 6th to the 8th of October.

The Budapest Centre for International Prevention of Genocide and Mass Atrocities in collaboration with partners from the Visegrad Group, Transitions (TOL), Milan Simecka Foundation, and University of Gdansk, Noha and University of Warsaw organized the last of the four workshops entitled V4 Prevention held in Visegrad group to prevent mass atrocities.

On October 1st, the Budapest Centre hosted two side-events in the context of the Human Dimension Implementation Meetings (HDIM) of OSCE’s Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights. The HDIM is Europe’s largest annual human rights and democracy conference.

A delegation of the Budapest Centre is partecipating to the OSCE- ODIHR’s Human Dimension Implementation Meeting 2015 in Warsaw between 21 September and 2 October 2015.
In course of this meeting the Budapest Centre organizes two side events of October 1st.

The Budapest Centre for the International Prevention of Genocide and Mass Atrocities welcomes Thea Restovin who is going to be a new Research Assistant of the organization from mid-September 2015.
On the 17th and 18th of September, Treviso hosted the first of five regional meetings of the forum for Religious Leaders on the prevention of incitement to violence and crimes against humanity promoted by the United Nations Office of the Special Adviser for the Prevention of Genocide.

From September 14th to 17th, Tommaso Trillò, Junior Research of the Budapest Centre, has been part of the organizing staff of a training on monitoring and evaluating Human Rights violations against migrants held in Skopje, Macedonia, by Open Society Fundation Macedona in cooperation with the organization No Peace Without Justice.

The Budapest Centre for the International Prevention of Genocide and Mass Atrocities welcomes Matteo Arlacchi and Luigia D’Alessandro, who will cover the positions of Intern from September 2015.
