On Wednesday, November 4th, the Budapest Centre for the International Prevention of Genocide and Mass Atrocities and the Guarini Institute for Public Affairs jointly hosted a film screening and discussion of “The Troublemaker: Behind the Scenes of the United Nations” at John Cabot University.

On Monday 16th of November (2 pm – 3,30 pm), the Budapest Centre will convene in Washington DC the session “Ten Years of RtoP: The Way Ahead. Implementation of a normative principle” in the framework of the Law, Justice, and Development Week (LJD Week) hosted by the World Bank from the 16th to the 20th of November.

On October 23rd, representatives of the Budapest Centre delivered a two-hour session on the prevention of genocide in everyday practice at the “Democrito” Secondary School in Rome, Italy.

On Wednesday October 21st, Enzo Maria Le Fevre Cervini, Director of Research and Cooperation of the Budapest Centre, has attended the launching conference of the Report on Reception of Migrants and Refugees in Italy.

The Budapest Centre of the International Prevention of Genocide and Mass Atrocities attended the Eye on Earth Summit 2015 hosted in Abu Dhabi from the 6th to the 8th of October.

The Budapest Centre for International Prevention of Genocide and Mass Atrocities in collaboration with partners from the Visegrad Group, Transitions (TOL), Milan Simecka Foundation, and University of Gdansk, Noha and University of Warsaw organized the last of the four workshops entitled V4 Prevention held in Visegrad group to prevent mass atrocities.

On October 1st, the Budapest Centre hosted two side-events in the context of the Human Dimension Implementation Meetings (HDIM) of OSCE’s Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights. The HDIM is Europe’s largest annual human rights and democracy conference.

The Budapest Centre for the International Prevention of Genocide and Mass Atrocities welcomes Thea Restovin who is going to be a new Research Assistant of the organization from mid-September 2015.
