BC Delegation at the "Europe's Strategic Options in the Mediterranean" Expert Seminar

In July 4, 2016, Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI), in collaboration with Friedrich-Ebert Stiftung (FES), organized an expert seminar on “Europe’s Strategic Options in the Mediterranean.” The event was divided into four different sessions, each of them addressing a key issue that the European Union (EU) and its Member States (MS) have been facing in the Mediterranean region and proposing viable options to foster development in Europe.

Joint communique IGAD and Budapest Centre on mass atrocities prevention cooperation

On June 13, 2016, the Budapest Centre hosted a workshop of the African Task Force on Mass Atrocities Prevention Initiative (ATF) with the Peace and Security Division of the Intergovernamental Authority on Development (IGAD) and IGAD’s Conflict Early Warning and Response Mechanism (CEWARN) in Addis Ababa.

African Task Force workshop at the African Union

In the context of the African Task Force on Mass Atrocities Prevention (ATF) Initiative launched in 2015, on Thursday 9th of June 2016, the Budapest Centre for Mass Atrocities Prevention (BCMAP), in partnership with the African Union’s Department of Political Affairs, organized a workshop at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa with representatives of African Union (AU) key departments to discuss the development of the ATF on the Prevention of Mass Atrocities.
