A warm welcome to the new interns of the Budapest Centre

The Budapest Centre for the International Prevention of Genocide and Mass Atrocities welcomes Matteo Arlacchi and Luigia D’Alessandro, who will cover the positions of Intern from September 2015.

Matteo ArlacchiMatteo Arlacchi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Cooperation and Development Studies from the University of Rome “La Sapienza,” where he graduated in December 2013 with a thesis on domestic poverty reduction strategies entitled “A successful strategy in the fight against poverty: the experience of the Bolsa Familia Program in Brazil.” After his graduation, he continued his studies at the University of Rome “La Sapienza,” where he is currently concluding his Master’s Degree in International Cooperation and Development Sciences. At the Budapest Centre Mr Arlacchi will contribute to the back office work for the preparation of the V4Prevention Trainings and participate to the preparation of call for proposals of our future projects.

Luigia D'AlessandroLuigia D’Alessandro is a B.A. student in both International Affairs and Marketing from John Cabot University. Her main interests focus on public international law and human rights as essential tools to prevent genocide and mass atrocities. At The Budapest Centre for the International Prevention of Genocide and Mass Atrocities, she is going to contribute to the administration of workshops, panels, and seminars as well as to the dissemination efforts of the Centre. In addition, she is going to participate in the background research for upcoming call for proposals.
