The Budapest Centre with the support of partners from the Visegrad Group Countries and the financial contribution of the International Visegrad Fund and other donors has launched in 2014 a series of trainings on mass atrocities prevention and the Responsibility to Protect.

This first conference of the Budapest Centre to the CoESPU was held in the context of the sixt course for Formed Police Unit Commander/Senior Staff Course.
Organized as Pre-event of the Budapest Human Rights Forum 2014 the conference brought together experts and practicioners on the role of education in the prevention of atrocity crimes.

The Budapest Centre has launched the first pilot project of its kind co-hosted by the Department of Political Sciences at the University of Roma Tre consisting of a cycle of seminars of the Responsibility to Protect (April-May 2014).
In the same spirit, it organized the roundtable on the Role of Education in the Prevention of Mass Atrocities in Budapest on 19 November, 2014.
The Budapest Centre conducts specific trainings on mass atrocities prevention. In particular efforts have been made to create a series of trainings in the Visegrad Group Countries (V 4 Prevention) with the support of various partners and the financial contribution of the the International Visegrad Fund.
Specific trainings on R2P have also been conducted by the Centre in the at the Vicenza based Center of Excellence for the Stability Police Units (CoESPU) of the Italian Carabinieri.
