Deanna Turzi joins BC MAP Research Centre in Rome

Deanna Turzi is a B.A. student in both Peace and Justice Studies and Political Science at Pace University in New York City. She is currently studying abroad in Rome at John Cabot University.

Her main interests include international law, the psychological effects of genocide and mass atrocities, and human rights, with particular emphasis on the importance of children’s rights and education. She would like to use these topics as a means to better understand the phenomena of genocide in order to assess early warning signs as well as aid in prevention and protection.

At the Budapest Centre she will primarily contribute as a research assistant. In addition, she will support in communications, the drafting of proposals, and administration work.
