After successful consultation in Abuja in early-September, the Budapest Centre and the Economic Community of West African States issued a joint communique confirming their willingness to keep up cooperation to support the work of the African Task Force on the Prevention of Mass Atrocities. The communique bears the signatures of Dr. Gyorgy Tatar, Chair of the Budapest Centre, and Ms Salamatu Hussaini Suleiman, Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security of ECOWAS.
The Budapest Centre wishes to thank ECOWAS for its availability and looks forward to future cooperation on this and other matters.
